Grand Finale weekend B4 school

Summer went out with a bang! Jim and I had a weekend full of plans for the kiddos before the school year starts.

Dinner, movie and ice cream on Friday,
Wild Adventures on Saturday (bonus: Doobie Brothers and Peter Framptom in concert!),
and GoKarting in Monticello on Sunday.
That was just the biggie fun stuff - Sat. morning was yard mowing and new job Publix orientation, and we managed Sunday night to squeeze in hamburgers on the grill & afterwards a Guitar Hero showdown along with a back massage treat!

Jared starts his Senior year, Caleb becomes a Junior, Blake joins the Chiles high-schoolers as a Freshman, and Lydia begins 7th grade at Deerlake Middle School.

Lydia is quite the businesswoman! Her Marketing campaign is quite extensive: Flyers, Business cards, Magnets, and Newspaper Ads. This GURL is going somewhere!!

Happy 88th Birthday Grandma!

Grandma Agnes is very special to me (aren't all Grandmas?) She and Grandaddy are known to my children as the "great" Greats! They don't get that special 5th generational tag tacked on for nothing! Their legacy has been significant to the family, so their "greatness" is observed by all.
I also had the tremendous priveledge to introduce my Grandparents (and a LOT of other family members) to the love of my life, Jim, and his adorable son, Blake. It was a truly special day.

Wow, unbelievable. Jared will be graduating next year from Chiles (Class of 2008), then Caleb follows (Class of 2009), a year break, then Blake graduates (Class of 2011), one more year break, followed by Lydia (Class of 2013). The month of May is going to be busy for the next several years!!!

Jim and I with the four kids went out to the Tallahassee Airport Sunday afternoon to see the Fly-In. It wasn't a very big show as in years past, but the P-51 Mustang is still flying and came in for a visit.
